Dekan of the Faculty of Law at UMY Confirms that the Mutilation Victim in Sleman was an Active UMY Student

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has confirmed that the mutilation victim in Turi, Sleman, was a student of the university. In his daily life, the victim was described as an active participant in various student activities.

Dean of the Faculty of Law at UMY, Iwan Satriawan SH MCL PhD, confirmed this information. According to him, Redho Tri Agustian, 20, was a fourth-semester law student. The victim was known to be actively involved in student activities.


Regarding the case involving their student, Iwan stated that the university has been in communication with the victim's family. He also expressed that they fully entrust the case to the police for further investigation. Linked to the Mutilation Case in Turi, Police Confirm Missing UMY Student

"Yes, it is true that the victim was a UMY student. We have coordinated with the family, and this morning we communicated with his aunt who is in Yogyakarta. We have handed over the case to the DIY Regional Police for further investigation," said Iwan to Radar Jogja on Sunday (16/7).

As previously reported, Head of Public Relations Section of Bantul Police, Iptu I Nengah Jeffry, confirmed that a missing person report was filed for Redho Tri Agustian, 20, a resident of Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, since Tuesday (11/7). The victim's relatives reported the disappearance of the UMY student to the Kasihan Police Sector on Thursday (13/7).

Earlier it was reported that the Perpetrator of the Mutilation Case in Sleman was Finally Arrested by the Police, the Motive is Still Unknown. Based on the report, the police conducted an investigation and obtained information that Redho Tri Agustian left his boarding house at around 00:02. At that time, the victim was wearing a green sweater and black shorts, and he did not use any means of transportation, only walked.  "Yes, there was a missing person report filed for R, a resident of Pangkal Pinang, on Thursday (13/7)," explained Jeffry.
